Please Analyze My Stats(I think im ready for the punishment)

Postby breenagnew » Fri Nov 13, 2009 2:34 am

Here we go,

I'm fairly new to poker edge, decided to purchase a 1 month micro subscription to see how much of an advantage it gave me, and whether or not it was worth purchasing for higher levels/tournaments.

I used to play 5+.50 SnG's on FT, but decided to start small in cash with tight bankroll management for the one month subscription and see where it takes me.

So far:

-I have been playing 6-max, .05/.1.
-I usually site 40bb deep
-Tend to multi-table about 3-tables at a time. (sometimes drop to 2, sometimes go up to 4 depending on level of focus)

HP: 3405
VP$IP: 21.8
PFR: 16.1
PF-Cold Call: 3.46
(PF-Raise)FL-Bet: 27.5
(F-see)Aggr: 4.3
(FL-See)SD-See: 24.8
SB: 27.4
Fold SB: 71.9
Fold BB: 82.1
BB/100: 8.27
W$SD: 63.87

(I know this doesn't mean much to you pros, but for somewhat-newbs like me, my icon is a bomb, and my name colour in the lookup table is light red.)

I know I have leaks in my game, but I am trying to improve...I have read upwards of 5 or 6 books, and countless internet articles/forums.

I tend to skim through this forum to see how you guys critique other peoples stats, but I feel like my sample size is now large enough that you can adequately assess mine.

I plan (unless you guys think I need much more improvement) on buying the next subscription up, and focusing on some .1/.25 once this subscription runs out, and just try to plug leaks and improve my game until then.

Please let me know if I have left out any key stats you guys would like me to add, I will put them up!

Thank you in advance for everyone and anyone who takes the time to respond. It is much appreciated.

Have a good one,

Breen

Hey Breen, welcome to the forum.

To be honest, about the only thing that stands out here is I don't think I have ever seen a PFCC that low before. Since your VP$IP isn't out of line, you are probably missing out on alot of action with your mediocre hands.

What are your FL, TU and RI Aggr. stats and what is your FL See-Win #"s?

I'm assuming this is a form of criticism, which is fine...that's why I posted my stats...but I believe being constructive is key!

I'm here to learn, and therefore any advice is welcome; but to simply reply with an uninformative, pompus reply like that, I believe, should be frowned upon.

I look forward to the responses from those who have advice to go along with their jabs ;)

Hey breen, I think andersb was just telling you that you need more hands (15K) for a proper analysis. I don't see any jabs there at all.

I, on the other hand will take jabs at donks like you all the time and without reason.

I really don't like your aggression numbers. Although in line, you need to taper your aggression down. Flop is ok but switch your turn and river numbers and I think you will do even better.

Hope that helps. 8)

If that is all andersb was implying, then I apologize for the defensive response, otherwise, my comment stands ;)

Paul, buy bringing those numbers down, does that mean it is a pot control issue?

Should I be checking and calling the TU and RI more and betting and calling less?

Just a small clarification of what I should be doing to be more effective would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Breen

Maybe I didn't word my response correctly.

I mean to reverse them more than just bring them down. Your Aggr #'s should be more like 5-4-3 than 5-3-4.

These stats are indicating that you are either 1) losing value on the turn or 2) giving too much action on the river.

At your stakes, the way you are playing might actually be more profitable so don't change too much but once you start moving up, the better players will catch on and eat you alive. Nothing worse than being check raized on the river with top pair weak kicker. You are just asking for trouble.

Understood.

Thanks for the clarification, that makes total sense.
