New to Poker Edge & My stats

Postby bustanutts » Thu Nov 05, 2009 2:41 am

Hello everyone

I am new to poker edge and online poker in general. For the past year or so I have been obsessed with getting better and improving my game. As of right now I am mainly a micro stakes MTT & SNG Player(online) and a $1/$2NL Cash (live). I am waiting for my one day to go Robusto and take on poker as a career. I try to study and put in sessions as much as possible. I recently became a Card Runners member and it has improved my online/live game dramatically. I would like to get some advice on how I could improve my personal stats and become a shark.

Tournament Stats:

Hands Played: 1212
(FL-See)SD-See: 54.3
W$SD: 56.0
VP$IP: 22.3
PF-Raise: 15.2
(FL-See)Aggr: 8.8
Steal Blind: 50.5
Fold SB to Steal: 38.7
Fold BB to Steal: 64.2

Thanks in advance!

No, not exactly.

You would have to manually type them in like you did before.

Sorry. still a noob when it comes to poker edge. The only stats I see are the ones displayed by default when I sit at a table. Where can I find the other stats?

Check out Welcome to the forum - Getting Started. That should help you out a lot. Also, you should browse through the How to Section and read any threads that interest or apply to you.

Cheers,

Thanks for the quick responses. Here are my stats

Game Type: Tournament
Table size: Full
Hands Played: 1263
BB/100: 0.00
VP$IP: 22.25% (281/1263)
PF-Raise: 15.28% (193/1263)
(FL-See) Aggr: 8.88
PF-Coldcall: 5.91% (11/186)
Steal Blind attempt: 49.55% (109/220)
Fold SB to steal: 42.25% (30/71)
Fold BB to steal: 66.10% (39/59)
(FL-See) Win: 54.26% (102/188)
(FL-See) Fold: 32.98% (62/188)
(FL-See) SD-See: 55.85% (105/188)
W$SD: 55.24% (58/105)

How can I improve my game? Where are my biggest mistakes? Am I calling down with TPTK too much? Is my PF-Raise range too high? I would like to know what to work on in order to become shark status. Thanks for the help!

just trying to digest how these stats can all go together, i mean your (fl-see)sd-see is way way too high, as a general rule this should be in the 25-30 range and with it being so high, your w$sd is still 55.24, doesn't really make sense to me

maybe some of the other members can shed some light on your stats, because i am clearly missing something, hopefully i will learn something in the process too

One other thing...what types of games are you playing? Turbos sit and go's, MTT's, regular sit and gos...

Also, why do you feel you have or have not been successful thus far?

For a direct answer to your question, you have to have a VP$IP below 20 to be a shark. Don't really worry too much about the icon though, Being a shark sounds great but you can be a winning player with alot of different icons.

About the only real leak that I see is your steal blind attempt is way too high. The better players will exploit this all day long.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll take everything in consideration and work more on improving my game. I'm sure I'll have many more questions in the future. Glad to have joined this forum!
