With the current version of PE (v4), you can have an unlimited number of tables open (minimized is OK) and PE will data-mine hand info from all open tables. Limited to the number of open tables that the poker-site will allow... and your system resources.
HUDs (data & icon overlays) will show up for all tables that are listed in the Lookup window. And the Lookup window can now display table entries (and HUDs) for up to 20 tables per poker-site! But if you play on a poker-site that lets you open more than 20 tables... PE will still collect/datamine all the tables you have open... even beyond 20 tables.
And you can open more than one Lookup window at the same time, one Lookup window per poker-site. That would allow you to view HUDs on more than 20 tables... but only up to 20 tables for each poker-site. Limited only to the number of tables that a poker-site will let you open... and the limitations of the resources of your PC.
Exceptions & Addendums:
- PartyPoker: is the only site that you have to be playing in the game for tracking (data gathering) to occur... just watching games will not collect data for PE here. But just viewing/watching does collect data (datamine) for every other pokersite.
- Full Tilt: has been verified to track 20 tables at the same time. The FullTilt client software limits the number of tables you can play on to 20. And the number of total tables that you can open to 20.
- Bodog: this pokersite client software limits you to only 1-4 tables open at a time. Also - currently PE will only update the HUDs if you are actively seated in the game. If you get outed from a game... the HUDs will still be displayed but won't update anymore. The stats are still being updated in the database though as long as the poker tables appear in the Lookup window..
